The Sevan Voyageur is the third FPSO unit that Keppel Verolme completed for the same owner.
The world’s first cylindrical FPSO facility, Sevan Piranema, was completed in Keppel Verolme in January 2007. The second unit, Sevan Hummingbird, was delivered in the fourth quarter of 2007.
The unit arrived in November 2007 as an empty steel hull built in China. Keppel Verolme's scope of work entailed the outfitting of marine and process equipment.
Works included the installation of central shaft with pump modules, process modules and mechanical equipment, installation of piping, electrical, hydraulic and instrumentation systems, plus a complete outfitting of the accommodation block with HVAC and architectural works.
The FPSO has an oil processing capacity of 30 000 bbls/day and a water injection capacity of 20 000 bbls/day.
